Sixty-nine percent of contingent workforce programs have faced increasing bill rates over the past year, but the amount of the increase varied, and some saw a decrease.

SIA’s most recent Workforce Solutions Buyers Survey asked respondents, “What would you estimate is the average change in bill rate you have experienced for the supply of temporary agency workers over the past 12 months?” The most common range of bill rate increases participants selected was 6% to 10%, cited by 28%, followed by an increase of 1% to 5%, cited by 22%. And while 20% of respondents reported double-digit bill rate increases, a total of 24% of respondents reported a decrease in bill rates.
