The professional occupational category dominates the MSP market, comprising 82% of the roles being managed. Information technology is the most prevalent skill category, followed by the healthcare and engineering/design categories.
The same holds true within the statement-of-work subcategory, where 93% of spend is represented by the professional category. Here, IT represents 43% of SOW spend, an indication that much of the SOW spend within programs is due to the sourcing of independent IT contractors under statements of work.
