Benchmarks: Skills sourced through direct platforms

Direct sourcing is not a one-size-fits-all approach and can be leveraged for roles with specific characteristics. According to the “Direct Sourcing Platform Landscape [1]” report, the roles best suited for direct sourcing are those for which enterprise organizations typically have repetitive and/or high-volume demand, roles that require moderate specialization, roles for which there is adequate supply of talent and roles for which an organization has an internal database of “known” talent (e.g. alumni, retirees, “silver medalists,” referrals, etc.). Office/clerical roles (19%) account for the largest occupational skill category typically sourced directly in terms of the number of reported hires, followed by other professional (17%) and IT (16%).
