Fifty-seven percent of US staffing firms provide training of some extent to their temporary workers, according to research from Staffing Industry Analysts.

In a survey of 439 staffing firms with more than $10 million in revenue, SIA asked “Does your firm offer any training to temporary workers? (select all that apply).” While 43% provide no training, 40% offer online training options — the most-cited type of training offered. Respondents also noted using paid vendors to actively train, test and/or certify workers (13%) or using on-staff trainers (12%).

In terms of time, 13% of firms gave some workers a full day of organized paid training or more; 5% gave workers a full week or more of organized paid training. (The numbers do not add to 100 due to multiple options
