The US temporary employment penetration rate was 2.03% in January, according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.

According to SIA’s Lexicon of contingent workforce terms, the penetration rate is often used as an indication of the relative maturity of a national staffing market.
The highest rate was 2.05%, set in December 2015, based on revised data from the BLS.
