A US district judge granted class action status in a long-running lawsuit that accuses a bakery and its staffing provider of favoring Hispanic workers over African Americans, Reuters reported.

First filed in 2013, the lawsuit alleges Gold Standard Baking Inc. and Illinois-based temporary staffing agency MVP favored Hispanic workers over African Americans.  US District Judge Sara Ellis ruled the case can proceed as a class action with potentially more than 1,000 members.
