Farm to pay $600,000 in back wages to settle H-2A complaint

Lucama, North Carolina-based Scott Farms will pay $600,000 in back wages to nine local farm workers who alleged they were paid wages lower than temporary foreign workers in the H-2A visa program, The Wake Weekly reports [1]. Including attorneys fees, the total settlement is $775,000.
