House passes bill to delay Obama’s overtime changes

The House has passed a bill that would extend the effective date for the new overtime pay rules by six months. While the Senate has yet to act on the bill, the White House has threatened to veto it, The National Law Review reports [1].

Fiona Coombe, director of legal and regulatory research for Staffing Industry Analysts, last week detailed how the upcoming changes to the US overtime eligibility would affect costs for contingent workers [2].
