What’s your workforce mix?

Each year, Staffing Industry Analysts asks large companies — those with 1,000 or more employees — to estimate the percent of their organization’s workforce that is contingent. We define contingent workers as all non-permanent workers, including agency temporary workers, internal temporary workers/interns/ seasonal workers, independent contractors and statement-of-work consultants. Part-time regular employees are excluded. In 2016, companies reported that an average of 22% of their workforce was contingent across all regions.
