Buyers are becoming more serious about building direct sourcing into their programs, as indicated by recent SIA research.

In SIA’s most recent Workforce Solutions Buyers Survey, we asked respondents what percent of their organization’s contingent workforce spend is sourced directly (no staffing supplier is used).

While just 1% of buyers’ spend is sourced directly at the median level, buyers plan to increase that to 10% in two years and 20% in 10 years. Respondents in the 75th percentile plan to funnel 40% of their contingent labor spend directly rather than through staffing suppliers in 10 years.
