A UK arbitration body ruled delivery workers for Deliveroo are self-employed because of their freedom to allow other riders to take their place on a job, Business Matters magazine reports. Deliveroo has signaled its intent to push for changes to laws to enable it to offer injury and sick pay to its riders.
