In our 2015 Contingent Buyers Survey we asked large (1,000+ employees) buyers across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific: “Which of the following supplier management strategies are currently in place in your organization, or are likely to be seriously explored within two years?” Respondents were shown the 18 supplier management strategies listed below.
Of the 18 supplier management strategies shown, the most commonly used method was an approved list of suppliers, at 86%.
Domestic outsourcing and supplier tiering were also very common.
Greatest interests for new strategies that were likely to be seriously explored within the next two years were:
