Since we launched the list in 2015 to shine a spotlight on the benefits of having women in leadership positions, we at Staffing Industry Analysts have noticed the emergence of other lists and events that do the same. We are proud that in some small way we have been a catalyst for change by recognizing the contributions and influence of women in the industry.

The women on the Global Power 150 — Women in Staffing [1] list, sponsored by Bullhorn, are not just doing what it takes to elevate the ecosystem but are also passionate about elevating their teams. Further, many of these women are paying more attention to giving back to organizations that help promote women across different industries.

These women have helped shape a $490 billion global staffing industry (based on 2018 revenue) by placing people in jobs while creating new models of work. A mix of leaders — from CEOs and entrepreneurs to division heads, technologists and attorneys — comprise the list. Some work boldly and unabashedly; others quietly make just as profound an impact.

The common thread: They are focused on improving the bottom line for their and their clients’ companies as well as the lives of the people who work for them. Innovation is a constant. Building high-performing teams while developing positive and inclusive cultures is their mantra. They are keenly aware of the professional development of the employees they oversee — both women and men — and work to create paths for their success.

At our end, our goal continues to be to see more women earning seats at the table. Yes, we want to celebrate these women who continue to take our industry forward; at the same time, we want to inspire the ecosystem to take notice of others who are making a difference.
