The global market spend for MSP is estimated at $194 billion for 2021, a year-over-year increase of 30% following on from an annual decline of 1% in 2020, according to SIA’s MSP Global Landscape and Differentiators 2022 report.

In terms of both temp/contractor spend and client distribution, the vendor-neutral model is the most prevalent, at 50% and 53%, respectively. Although the amount of spend (2%) and volume of clients (3%) represented by the contingent RPO model is minimal, when combined with the master supplier model, approximately a third of providers are sourcing candidates on behalf of the client either under their own brand or that of the client.
